There's a weird part of me that's going to miss the laughs that can be had at the football that can only be had when your team is shit. Don't get me wrong, i desperately want our club up and about and playing finals, but there's something kind of special about going to the football, knowing you're going to get your trousers pulled down, but almost celebrate that shitness in a silly kind of way.

Fun fact: Matt Thomas and David Rodan have played 23 games between them this season. They have reached the 20 disposal mark once between them this season. That was against the wooden spooners.

Guys I only have 97 likes. That's not a good likesost ratio (only counting posts since the 'switch', at which time I hadn't even signed up...) Well, the message is loud and clear. I have to work on the humour or intelligence put into my posts. Here goes:


It was just this Saturday that had passed, and I was at the footy. During the final moments of the last quarter, amongst a crowd of yelling and screaming Brisbane supporters, I saw a young boy covered in Port Adelaide gear crying. "What's the matter mate?" I asked.

Sobbing, he muttered. "Port Adelaide is horrible..."

I wanted to show this young lad here that there is hope for the future, so I look at the oval, praying to God that there would be some good play by our boys. But, I only see McCarthy absolutely shank it while Thomas and Westhoff simultaneously fall over. I thought to myself, on occasions such as this, a little white lie couldn't hurt.

"Hey, let's go to my car. I have ice-cream."
