I like GoT but I don't go gaga over it like everyone else seems too. Television plays a pretty important role in my life haha but yeah I'm not overly into the fantasy side of things. It's a good show but it seems as though everyone adores it. I just think it's a good show.

*runs and hides*

You are safe here my fine flatulent friend.

I have not seen an episode nor am I likely too. I've never seen Buffy or the Twilight movies, Breaking Bad or pretty much anything like that. Have never watched any "Reality TV" except for 60 seconds of Big Brother because a mate was on it but I have watched every single episode of "Australia's Next Top Model" because my wife likes it ;) in fact I couldn't be more out of touch with what is cool on TV. I think the last two things I watched religiously were Twin Peaks and the Kelloggs Junior Supporters Club. I haven't been to the cinema since 2007 (I took my wife because I thought I should do the right thing having not taken her previously) and the movie was so shit and being that close to people I wouldn't like I haven't been back.

I watch AFL360 most nights though....

I watch a lot of shows but yeah it seems that TV geeks and people who normally watch Mike and Molly and Today Tonight even lap up GoT. Is it the boob factor?

Speaking of great shows, getting round to Justified a few months ago was one of my great life decisions. Timothy Olyphant is an amazing man <3

Hang on wait a minute?

****?

There's a lot of good stuff out there these days, but nothing that's going to top Twin Peaks, to be honest.

What about the Kelloggs Junior Supporters Club?

Have you seen Deadwood? He's great in that as is Ian McShane.

Game of Thrones is a seriously good TV show. Not saying everyone would love it, but it is by far the best show of its genre (not that I've ever watched any other fantasy shows, but its obvious).

I spend most of my time watching "e-sports" FWIW. Such a terrible waste of time some days, but its not near as bad as this bloody website!

Every woman in Game Of Thrones is insane, manipulative, useless, or wants to be a man. Or all of the above aka Cersei
Yes it is realistic at times.

think i found with a quirk with our drafting

going to assert we particularly suck every 3 years of the draft since 1998 draft. Ergo we're due to suck this year 2013.

its important to suspend logic while i waste some time with this ludicrous hypothetical

1998: Notables: Headland/Longmuir/Hayes
5. Michael Stevens - Fail
7. Josh Carr - Win
37. Morgan Loss - Mega Fail: The famous "couldve been Pavlich" pick
39. Thurstans - Kicked 3 goals in GF
54. Derek Murray - Fail

2001: Notables: Hodge/Ball/Judd. The super draft that we never really took part of.
15. Brooks - Win at the time - coz we exchanged Brooks for the Saints first pick in the next exchange period--> getting Salopek the next season when pick 8 became pick 6 after Carlton lost pick 1 and 2. Brooks would end up being delisted I think 2 years after. On the other hand Sal's career interrupted by injury.
61. Damon White - Fail. Marketed as Tredders successor. Recall shocking ankle surgeries.
76. Poulton - kicked "that" goal against Sydney.

2004: Notable: Franklin v Tambling draft. Otherwise known as "geez we really screwed up every pick here didn't we" draft
11. Adam Thomson - Fail. This pick couldve been traded for Scott Thompson but we sat on our hands while the Crowies traded their pick (1 after ours) for him. Still Thomson was noted to be a clearance machine at the time but I remember Kevin shifter Sheehan being highly unimpressed with our pick at the time "really, you should be looking for best available"
19. Willits - Fail
34. Ezard - Fail
35. Deluca - Fail
51. Eckermann - Fail. Still remember scumbag Steinglein's hit on Eckermann. Was never the same after that. Loved his burst of speed but had this odd kicking action where he looked like he was going fall on his backside after each kick.

2007: Notable: Rioli, Dangerfield, Brabert. Honestly shallow draft but almost on par with the 2004 debacle.
16. Lobbe - Could be a win
28. Marlon Motlop - Fail. Sigh.
33. Matthew Westoff - Fail
49. Farmer - Actually Win coz we ended trading Farmer for Schulz.

2010: Notable: Gold Coast draft. The "Darling/Lycett/Atley/Horlin-Smith/Parker falling to all our picks" draft.
16. Jacobs - Fail
35. Newton - jury out. Probably a Fail.
36. Young - jury out but there's promise. Being pushed down pecking order as we speak.
52. O'Shea - jury out. Coaching staff seems to love him. has played 26 games the equal of Jacobs.

i assumed game of thrones was a world of warcraft expansion, i can't believe it's a TV show about wizards and stuff and people lap that up. >_>

It has really good character development. That is why people lap it up.
