I didn't realise the Mars Bar had private rooms and an RVP look alike?

Congrats and bash it up your arse.

How did they win it, then?
By sticking the ball in the oppositions net more times than was done to them, thus accumulating more points than any other team in the league.
Hey, just because Man City has gone down the same route of buying trophies doesn't mean you have to agree with what they're doing.
Welcome to sport. Money talks.

Nah I'm really just jealous because Aston Villa have been shit. :(
The Villa story could have been so much different had Roman Abramovich chosen them instead of Chelsea all those years ago. Until Chelsea qualified for the Champions League on the last day of the season he was said to be deciding between Villa and Chelsea...Instead, you got an American owner that is as tight as a nun's nasty.

Ok RVP you have won your title, now go back to Arsenal where you belong!
He will be there next weekend...probably walking through a guard of honour for the Champions...

lolling @ how awkward fergie looks in that gif.

Probably wondering if that was an appropriate time to slide one in his gardeners back door ;)

If lots of money is OK then maybe we can remove the salary cap and the draft from the AFL - that will make it really interesting - particularly for us.
How many titles have been won by so few clubs in English soccer over the last 30 years?

Since 83/84, 8 different teams have won the English league.

Since 1983 11 different teams have won and AFL/VFL flag.

So it's 8 out of 20 and 11 out of 16 (rough average) - a pretty clear difference.

And for all your draft and salary caps 'fairness and equality', I give you a rigged, uneven draw, footy department spend (clearly makes a difference as witnessed first hand by us) and 3rd party deals. The AFL is not as saintly and righteous as you might make it out.

I never said that the AFL was clean and fair - it's just that I am against money being a major contributor to success as opposed to the traditional concept of sport - as you would well know, the PAFC would not be in the AFL if our competition did not have a salary cap and draft. I still can't understand why English soccer doesn't do it - it would be even more successful, if that is possible.

A salary cap isn't viable when there are multiple leagues around the world of the same size/stature. If the EPL implemented it, they would (an) immediately lose a ton of players to Europe.

Salary cap/draft systems really only work when the league has a monopoly in that sport - NBA, NFL, NHL, AFL.
