The other day I booked my airfares to Melbourne for the Port v Carlton game. They charged $12 handling fee to book online, and that's fine, seems a tad excusive as I'm sure It's all done by a computer program but I'm okay with that. Then, when you select your seat they ask for $5 each way (more if you want extra leg room or to sit near an emergency exit), for the seat. WTF? Didn't I just pay for an Airfare?

That really pissed me off. Not so much the cost, I wouldn't be going if I couldn't afford it, but they're not going to let you buy a flight without a seat so just include it in the ******* price.

pretty sure there was article recently stating that airlines now make more money out of the extra charges than they do on the airfare

It was something about flags and a link. Didn't even know it came up. Thought I was still in the 13,000's

But 14,9998 (2 words) and 14,999 (6 words) were like short sharp singles making sure I got to raise the bat.
