It shouldn't be but a lot of people find it this way. Personally as I only speak conversational German these end of shooting (fnar fnar) chit chats can be a little awkward.

I actually use both, in different contexts. I can't really explain the rationale. Sometimes one feels right, sometimes it's the other.
