I don't think we ever felt like there was a divine right to win the premiership, it was just an expectation.

I wouldn't confuse what some of their younger fans have become with what their club has achieved in the last 10 or so years.

The older Geelong fans I know remember the serial underachievers from the 70s and 80s, the 'handbags' tag, losing 4 grand finals 89-95, and yet they're pretty reasonable - they know they're living through a golden era and they're generally grateful for it - and not dopey like some of their younger supporters who wouldn't even remember the '95 grand final. Consider just how atrocious Cows fans "culture" would be if they'd lost four grand finals and had the Leigh Colbert 'mark' to deal with. "Right in front of me" wouldn't begin to describe the lunacy.

Possibly (read: likely) to be just a typical country footy rumour but talk around is Tom Logan will be playing country footy for Lucindale in the KNTFL next year. His brother Sam will be coaching them (probably as a player/coach too) after jumping across from Naracoorte.

Has Tom been delisted? this could be a sticking point to the rumour if he is kept on Port's list.
