Do you have primary sources for this, i.e. deposed testimony given in a timely manner? Or is this just hopeful speculation made years later?.

Dallas patrolman Earl Brown was on the bridge/underpass - Warren Commission report Vol VI, page 233

Dallas Mayor Earle Cabell was in the motorcade with his wife Elizabeth. Her evidence is at - Warren Commission report Vol VII, page 486.
Senator Yarborough gave his evidence to the Warren Commission. He was in the 3rd car with LBJ ie behind the secret service follow up car

See, REH's advanced intellect at it again, I'm not worthy!!

p.s oi, what's this past tense stuff?

Mea culpa - I used the wrong tense.

Watching the Cardiff v Swansea Scum match. Realising that footy is so much better a sport than football, even when we beat the fascist royalist twats.

Mea culpa - I used the wrong tense.

Mea culpa is a Latin phrase that translates into English as "through my fault". It is repeated three times in the prayer of confession at the Catholic Mass: mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa — "through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault". The three phrases are in the ablative case, which gives the instrumental meaning "through"

Naebody loikes a smart arse Jembo.

Yep, but he got off two shots. A miss and one thru the throat. The third shot was an accident from an exploding type bullet from a poor secret service guy. If the bullet Oswald used to shot Kennedy thru the throat, was the same as the one that went thru Kennedy's skull then his neck would have been obliterated. It wasn't.

His head went back and to the left

I can't remember the last book that I read, do people read books anymore?

Sure do, I'm impatiently waiting for the 4th book in the Final Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, the Unbeliever, The Last Dark. This is the 10th & last book in this epic series that began in 1977.

I've read all of Sven Hassel's books, Frank Herbert, George Orwell, Evelyn Waugh, E. E. "Doc" Smith, Agatha Christie, Robert E. Howard, Douglas Adams, Clive Cussler, James Clavell, Stephen King, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, among others, plus 100's of war books, sci-fi, tons of sci-fi series, fantasy, historical, biographies, etc.

Catch-22 is my favourite, followed by Sunk by Mochitsura Hashimoto.

I really like REH but I think I might have to put him on the ignore list as whenever I read his stuff I feel that I belong in the 'special class'
And to think that REH recalled his recent long post from memory.

I reckon that I have read less than 20 books in my life. Catch-22 was one of them and was definitely the best.

When Alexander Bell invented the telephone he had 3 missed calls from RussellEbertHandball

RussellEbertHandball and Superman once fought each other on a bet. The loser had to start wearing his underwear on the outside of his pants.

RussellEbertHandball counted to infinity - twice.

Ghosts sit around the campfire and tell RussellEbertHandball stories.

RussellEbertHandball doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.

You are missing out. There is no greater world than a good novel.

p.s Hugh Hefner style magazines are not books.

I haven't read a novel for over 20 years. But I read lots of articles and magazines so I only tend to read books on subjects that really grab me. Last one I finished reading was Tyler Hamilton's The Secret Race. I bought Seven Deadly Sins - My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong by Sunday Times journo David Walsh. Bought it on first day of the tour down under this year, but by May I had only got just after half way and have never finished it off.

Was that due to not enjoying the read/reading it or lack of respect for the subject matter?

Haha, I don't know if I now feel like Chuck Norris or Garry Putland.

Combo I got a bit sick in May and so much had come out after the USADA stuff, then Oprah, another 4 Corners story and general stuff that came out meant I didn't have a great desire to read more as I knew most of what was in the book.

I bought George Megalogenis' book The Australian Moment in August but didn't pick it up until after the footy finished. I'm about 20% of the way thru but I want to get in the mood to read it over a weekend.

Looks like I should take a good book on board book with me tomorrow whilst fishing for some callop, hope they're biting otherwise I'll probably to make a habit of it!
