Its not bettered is only an opinion... it holds as much scientific weight as any religion or aliens brought us here...

No offence but that's a totally absurd thing to say. Read some books.

Gas is visible! The sky is blue, and that's why- you're seeing the atmosphere. The sunlight hits the atmosphere and illuminates it. You don't see the atmosphere at night because there's no sunlight to illuminate it.

I'm suffereing a severe attack of telescope envy, btw.

nah, it is just the reflection of the ocean

Reading it back it was absurd

but I didnt mean it the way it came out....

I guess what I was trying to say was the big bang theory cant be proven anymore then jesus walked the earth 2000 years ago

basically the big bang theory has a point of origin(energy) but no scientist can explain where this energy came from how that energy manifested....same with religious (creationism) theories which says that we came from a diety which created the energy for the big bang....none can be disproved/proved of by science it just depends on what side of the coin your opinion falls on...the aliens things was me just taking thing ott as a joke.

There's background radiation all through the universe that is pretty clearly after echo of the Big Bang. I wouldn't try arguing with a real astronomer/physics graduate that the Big Bang didn't happen.

Both of those things can, in principle, be proven. The Big Bang theory is orthodoxy at the moment because it has not been falsified and because no one has proposed a better alternative.

Absolutely and I wouldnt argue with with researched religious historian about their diety....

Both sides have evidence...

to put it into scientific perspective if you think of the perfect conditions that are needed to create life here on earth science will tell you its illogical or near on impossible..basically science will tell you life is a fluke....the whole radiation explosion thing seems impossible without oxygen...albert eisntien didnt believe in it

if you take it from creationism point they overcome what science cant explain with its a dieties work...

but if you look at both sides of the coin deeply they both have evidence to back up their claims....

They hold the same credibilty if you have no bias

Creationism doesn't "overcome" anything.

Using archaic superstitious beliefs that naively placed humankind at the centre of everything, as an explanation about the incredible, vast, physical phenomena that we now know to exist, is as quaint as it is ridiculous.

Feel free to believe in invisible sky gods, super-intelligent aliens, flying spaghetti monsters or even a teapot orbiting the sun, but please don't claim that they hold any credibility when it comes to explaining the existence of life or the beginnings of the universe.

yeah I was trying not to have a bias point of view but if that all you got out of what i said it well its kind of obvious where your opinion lies which is fair enough

I did say that creationism overcomes science by saying it the work their diety...but i didnt say that belief was right its where their faith comes in..I didnt say niether was right or wrong

my main point was each theory has just as much holes as the other as well evidence of each...

So long as these sort of places exist you will have to argue with some people. To book your visit go to this link but be quick as it's struggling to stay open.

I used to know back in Australia of a guy who believed in the whole Christian fundamentalist stuff- i.e. that God made the Universe in 7 days in 4004 BC. By trade he was a chemist, he had a PhD in chemistry, and he was near international master level chess player.

And he did a tour of my neck of Canada a couple of years ago defending his Creationist beliefs against all comers.

Creationism is as irrational a belief as supporting St. Kilda but you get some surprisingly smart people doing both things.

Those are very interesting definitions of holes and evidence you're using.

The accepted science remains the accepted science until it's disproven, and unlike creationists, scientists are actively trying to disprove the accepted science on the origins of the universe all the time, and if someone can do so they'll win a Nobel prize and be spoken about for centuries.

My brain is melting

Mine melted when we learned in physics that light is both a wave and a particle, and that everyone is made up of waves.

I just go with the universe being infinite because the end of empty space is too weird for me to handle.

absolutly and you right about definitions but once again evidence comes down to opinion ....but I was trying to not offend anyones beliefs for both side of the coins....

I mean for example in the bible it has things about the earth being round... dinosaurs existing.. radiowaves (many more examples) and religious people will say this is evidence and scientific person will say its bullshit....who am I to say who is right and wrong and I was trying to keep it even

Faith is not evidence. Sure put up god did as your belief, but provide verifiable proof.
