Same. I pretty much avoid getting too close to the edge of balconies because of that fear.

Yeah. Something a bit eerie considering 9-11 is tomorrow and the choices they had to make.

Ive been sky diving quite a few times and bungee jumping etc, would love to go base jumping in Norway but get me on the 2nd step of a ladder or standing on a chair changing a light and im a quivering mess.

didnt know where to post it so as to not be disrespectful in any way shape or form to the situation, but the flamingo has no balcony's, robert penfold, nine's u.s correspondent, posted a photo (on twitter)of the place where it is believe he fell, its a stair well opening out toward a large palm tree, where they say he was climbing.

To me, it really doesn't matter.

A young guy is dead and nothing will change that. Knowing exactly why is fruitless and serves no one. Fact is he is gone too young and meant plenty to many.

Funny you say that, because I could've sworn that balconies were prohibited on large-scale hotels in Nevada. I agree that the details are insignificant really. All that matters is that we've lost a valued member of our community.

Totally. I hate heights but would gladly go sky diving if I ever got the chance. Ladders freak me out horribly. Bloody weird really.

I was certain I was going to but thankfully didn't. Those are the worst kinds of dreams and was the first thing that entered my head when I heard he had fallen from a balcony.
