Have to admit I thought it was a bit low of Brett to go bodyline with every ball. Still pretty funny though.
It was decided that would be the case in the build up over twitter, he had it coming.

Richard Hadlee. Now there's a name I haven't heard in a couple of lifetimes.

Richard Hadlee not impressed with Lee.

What is it with Kiwi Knights? Hillary always struck me as a humourless prick too.

The self-styled Bradman of bowlers would be offended by the comparison to Lillee.

Piers Morgan is, of course, much more than an annoying tweeter. I was hoping for at least a broken rib or 5.

I have no qualms that a feral cat died. It's the fact that it took half an hour and I have a conscious and couldn't leave it on the side of the road to do so.

Also, I know have to clean the back of the car.

In the good old days, a bloke would've just got out and wrung it's neck...but these days we have become conditioned not to be so cold, even though it would have put it out of it's misery

The thing is the little shit got up and started running around the car while we waited for the vet and it didn't look to shabby to be a true feral.

But yeah, I did think about it, but I also don't know if I would have the constitution to be able to do it. Never had to before.

Yeah, I hear you. I did it once, about 30 years ago there was a feral cat on a farm that had been trodden on by a cow and used to get around with it's front feet dragging it's crippled body around. Knew the farmer who asked me to put it out of it's misery if I could, I obliged, wrung it's neck and 30 years later I can still hear its death scream :(

Yikes, didn't the damn farmer have a .22 lying around somewhere??

Congrats to Amy Schulz for producing anther potential F/S Port Adelaide star! :thumbsu:

So...4-0 to the Aussies. I tipped the series to be 4-0 to the Poms... wasn't optimistic at all. Didn't see Mitchell Johnson having his summer in the sun at all!

Distressing. Good on you for doing your best to alleviate its suffering.

Pretty much what I was going to post. But really that's a skill and how many of us have done it? Both my grandfathers were farmers and knocked off rabbits etc without thinking. So when I had to take a suffering pet rabbit to the vets years ago to be put down and had to pay approx $100 I felt like such a dill.

Good news!

Didn't Ian Botham predict 5-0 to England?

I thought the 3-0 scoreline in England flattered the Poms, could easily have been 2-2. So I thought with a couple of breaks Australia would do better than was being widely predicted before the series. But I didn't expect the wheels to fall off England so comprehensively.

Australia have had someone make big scores when the top order was on the ropes, Haddin has been the steel in the lower middle order, and Johnson has been amazing. It's been good to see the selectors stick with a spin bowler. Lyon looks like he believes he is a Test player. Certainly gives the ball some revs.
