Finished year 12 last year. Thought I was going to be so happy once I finished, now I just wish I could go back.

Granted, I failed it and spent the year skating, on my bmx, drinking and pounding bitches. But it was well worth it to become to well respected bank employee and magician that I am today.

Got striaght B's and missed out on my Uni course by a point or two. Tafe was to expensive for me so im currently unemployed trying to find an apprenticeship or traineeship.

Anyone know of anywhere is the western suburbs looking for work preferably the Findon area

without sounding like some old dude preacher (I dont think I am old!), go back to school part-time, get the extra points and get into uni, otherwise get yourself a qualification.... TAFE are not the only people that provide qualifications and you'll find the cash if you try hard enough.

Really sick of year 12

Why.

I found some of my Year 12 work on some old discs a few years ago. Lawd it was a disgrace. Battling to pad out 250 words, barely 2 sources per assignment. Repetitive, stilted writing that even an AdelaideNow sub-editor would knock back and I still scored adequately.

How do people fail? Do they hand in soiled tissues?

Didn't even do year 12 as I bailed after year 11. Then worked for a few years bought a house and a nice car and got into uni no sweat at at age 22 with a STAT entry that was quite high. Currently working 30 hours a week on a PPT basis, balancing full time uni.

Looking back, wouldn't have done it any other way. Set myself up for life early with a lot of work experience, getting a house and a nice car etc. Have been promoted recently to be a supervisor on my shifts as well. Balancing uni means that I work both Saturdays and Sundays, so it's been a shitty trade off but the penalty rates are massive. Will have finished uni by age 25 with the experience required to get a job in the field, as well as supervisory experience.


Of course all this aside, I have no social life besides my other half of 7 years who lives with me.

I just got a call about an apprenticeship.

Had no idea people were so young in here.

Finished Year 12 in 2004. Me old.

I used to laze about playing PS3, drinking beer and talking sport with mates. Nothing has changed at all for me. I ****ed it up a bit but still passed, did a SAIBT course for a year and transferred into Marketing at UniSA. Finished that and now I have a degree with no experience in my field. Go me.
