EXACTLY!! Take my wife to somewhere like a tile suppliers and blindfold her and she'll unerringly find the most expensive tiles in the shop. Our front veranda has tiles that are each hand-crafted, it would have been cheaper to cover it with molten gold. Multiply this by all the things we've had to do to the house through the years including renovating out the back and I calculate my retirement has been put back by 5 years.
