Well, imo, it took only three bakery posts to identify the best 3 bakeries in SA.

Surely you jest? Keith bakery is fantastic. Great sausage rolls.

Nothing beats Stonehut bakery in the mid north. Absolutely the best pies ever made. I've been to all the supposed great bakeries in SA - St Peters, Pt Elliott, Keith, Meadows.....nothing compares to Stonehut.

Peska's Bakery at Strathalbyn for the best chocolate donuts in the universe. Balhannah Bakery for the best finger buns you'll find anywhere. Lobethal Bakery Woodside for the best tomato and basil soup with bread roll (and it reminds me if the Double R diner in Twin Peaks).

Waikerie Bakery is very meh, Paringa Bakery is the pick of the bunch up here as well as Barmera bakery for their most excellent pasties.

On a serious note, +1 for Meningie Bakery

The Baker's Delight across the road from me sweeps its ovens, bread machines, slicers, etc, with the same broom it uses on the floor. And their prices have gone up about 20c in the last year.

Anybody here catch a bus besides Footy Express? The concession peak hours single ticket is now $2.50. Just two years ago it was $1.50, and has gradually increased since.
