Happy with Regurgitator's Unit as best recent Aussie album. Saw them perform it in its entirety at Falls this/last year. Was great.

Conditions from The Temper Trap a worthy addition also.

Favourite ever Adelaide album? - The Primevils - Chicken Factory or The Mark Of Cain - Battlesick.

If i truly had to narrow down to one my absolute favorite Australian album of all time it would have to be Died Pretty 'Free Dirt'. I just have to put on this album and all the best memories of my life come flooding back. They got most of their critical acclaim for 1990's Doughboy Hollow but it truly didn't even come close to Free Dirt. August 1986, Tivoli Hotel. The Adelaide leg of the Free Dirt album tour. Were you there? Oh how i miss the old Tivoli Hotel of the 1980's, with it's space mural on the wall behind the bands and the bar dividing the room into two.

Just had a look at the Tivoli website as I havent been there in years. Jeez....its changed a fair bit. Looks like an upmarket wine bar now. Used to be a fantastic live venue.

They did their first big overhaul around the late 80's i reckon. I have a memory of seeing the Psychotic Turnbuckles there sometime around that time, mid renovations. I reckon about '88. Prior to that it was a beautiful dive.

I genuinely can't think of an Australian band of the last two decades i significantly like. The 1980's in Australia were amazingly good.
