Why do women choose 'x' is the more telling question - whether it be to wear certain clothing, or to 'stay at home'. What/who is influencing these 'decisions'? Are they well informed, educated and empowered, and presented with a truly balanced range of options?

As for "sexualisation of children" - there's a lot of points to debate about that issue, however I'll only go so far as to EFA that one to the 'sexualisation of girls'.

Freedom goes both ways. Nobody should deny the freedoms of others. Muslim women should be allowed to wear burqas and Lightning Rod and others should be allowed to express their opinion that they don't like the concept (as long as they're not saying it should be banned). Neither of these freedoms should be impinged by the other party.

Wouldn't it be amazing how many problems would be solved if this reasoning was applied to all religious expression?
