Iif the club dont like it, be tighter with their leaks, be more professional and it wont happen.

I totally agree.

And I think a great way to tighten that shit up would be to make sure people don't leak shit, which often involves naming people that leak shit, to people who can do something about it (eg. KT would love to know who is speaking out of turn, I'm sure). Instead, we just keep feeding on the leaks and they get left open? And its club supporters who are happy to keep the leaks flowing?

I don't get it.

The benefit is that us supporters (including myself) were able to receive a quick, direct and understandable response to the photo.

At other times, such as the Boak contract situation it may help to reduce peoples stress (surprisingly people do get stressed not knowing) and having a figure or several figures there to provide some form of comfort I believe is definately helpful.

OK, but, is that better than the photo not being publicised? Sure, it gives the club a chance to look pro-active at shutting down disinformation, but who creates disinformation just to do that?

OK, well this is just a disagreement of opinion. I think that the less you draw attention to stuff like the Boak contract thing, the less important it becomes. We have had players go past mid-season with unsigned contracts for ages. How about Pearcey? No-one was panicky about that all that much about him, but we didn't have a to and fro about will he, won't he sign. Will he **** us in the PSD etc, and so he's pissed off to Freo without a huge amount of fanfare. There's no accusations of `OMG THE CLUB ****ED UP' because he hadn't signed by August or something.

And with Boak, my recollection is fuzzy, but wasn't he `about to sign' a few times? I kind of think that announcing the delays in his inevitable signing just prolongs the process. But like I said, the Boak one is definitely more opinion, so its an agree to disagree I think

i just don't understand how you can reconcile this position with the way that you post. you are relentlessly negative - which is fine - but who benefits from the stuff that you write? it's not going to leave the reader with a positive opinion of the club, is it?

Everything I express is purely personal opinion. I don't claim to have any insider knowledge. I am easily dismissed as some loudmouth with an opinion about as valid as any Facebooker and regularly am.

But if I started claiming to be speaking with true authority or some kind of official, confirmed knowledge. Yeah, for sure, in that case I am causing shit because I am borrowing credibility on dubious terms and using it to destroy the club.
