Worst band ive ever seen live would be Atari Teenage Riot. Just absolute pants. The entire set just sounded like static with a bunch of bass thrown in. Something for Kate win the award for most boring. Stood through their entire set waiting for System of a Down to come on back in 02 at the BDO. Just so goddamn boring.

No you didn't.

Nirvana didn't come to Adelaide. They did the Sydney show. And the first BDO in Adelaide was in 93. Still got my ticket.

My bad. Perhaps it wasn't a BDO . But they were in Aust for the BDO tour and extended into Adelaide for a show. Maybe it was a stand alone show although I do recall a stinking hot day at Adel Uni for a festival, had the fire hoses turned on the crowd.

'93 still the best BDO in my opinion. The bands were in pavillions then so the sound was better.

93 was at Adelaide Uni and was the best line up and best day by some margin imo. And yes it was 4008 degrees and the fire truck came and saved our lives.

94 the first at Wayville.

Nirvana played a stand alone show at Thebby (I think).

As finny said, Iggy Pop, Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, Beasts of Bourbon, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds made '93 ****ing awesome.

Just had to look for the lineup to that one, was Sean Lennon your highlight :D

lol!

Had a bunch of internationals right up my alley who were at their peak - Korn, Soulfly, Manson, Underworld, Fatboy Slim, Ash.....and a bunch of Aussie bands who were all at their peak - Regurgitator, Jebediah, Living End, Superjesus, Powderfinger, Sonic Animation, Bodyjar, Mark of Cain, Bexta.

He was good. The highlights were when after he finished a song he asked if we were still alive and at the end of his set there was a fight between two chicks. 99 BDO was grand.

 I saw Soundgarden at the BDO in '93 (Superunknown) and I remember them as friggin awesome!!
You already got corrected re: dates but FWIW I didn't see them at the BDO, and obviously live music is variable.

Agree with you on Rage, they are awesome live. Am hoping you are dead wrong on Radiohead as I have tickets for the Brissy show in a couple of weeks. I suspect you may be partially correct though as Thom's voice is not overly strong, hence the choice of smaller venues I expect.
Please report back when you've been!

I'm all for reducing the speed limit to 25 km/h around public work areas, but as far as I'm concerned any private works encroaching on public roadways....well, they can stick their lollipop 'stop/slow' signs and 25 km/h signs up their arse.

That Uni BDO was so ****ing good.
Disposable Heroes wrapped up the day perfectly in the cloisters.
So many people crammed into such a small space.

How are Radiohead playing smaller venues? I'm seeing them at Rod Laver! It's massive haha

Well, not stadiums at least and they probably could have sold double the tickets they did given how quickly they sold out. I tried and missed for tix in Melb, gone in about 15 mins. Then tried for Brissy and jagged a couple

I know so many people who didn't get them.

Got 3 GA for Sat night in the pre sale straight away. No issue at all. Then 20 minutes after the public sale went up got a seated ticket for Friday. Obviously just got lucky but yeah so many missed out :(

I used to eat all of crusts but only a minimal amount of my hair went curly

They'll probably be the ones manning the People's Committees once the revolution starts stagnating.

Nah. They be the ones in the background whispering that we don't need a revolution and then when it happens claim it was all their idea.

I had bad luck with the Radiohead tickets. Got tickets first go. Went to pay for them, but I hadn't signed up to the site, so I had to do that. When I got through that I lost my tickets. All gone the second time round.

Grrr. Have learnt to be more prepared now.

Wot?

Source?

edit - nvm found it.

Great disney will turn Star Wars into a musical piece of crap
I few years ago I might not have been happy with Disney taking over, but after what they did with the Marvel franchises I think it's really positive.

Where's it fit in chronologically? Sequel, prequel, off on a meaningless tangent?
Well it will be called episode 7. Make of that what you will.
