Yet here we are talking about them after almost 50 years after they started - must say something.
It says more about the universal proliferation of media & media storage and the timing of it than anything else.

Radio stations would still spinning the fantastic plastic of the old mainstream successes irrespective of the current media options available. There is a reason for being mainstream - it is called writing and playing good and popular music.

More like baby boomers wanting to be 20 forever.

I think a world in which baby boomers, and only baby boomers, were 20 forever would be a bizarre and horrible world.

Their children dying in old aged homes listening to Sonic Youth, while the boomer parents rack up yet another dumb pregnancy while listening to Jefferson Starship on LSD.

Love and Peace man.

My kids would listen to the good old stuff. It was either the brainwashing or the food and sleep deprivation that did it.

Looking for lyrics to `Who's That Girl', the Eurythmics version barely makes it onto the first page of results, after Guy Sebastian, Eve, Flo Rida and Madonna. On Spotify, it is a less popular version than Guy Sebastian, Eve, Madonna and Darin songs of that name.

What.

Hence why you type in "Who's that girl Eurythmics" into the search term.

Sometimes I forget how old you all are.
So do I but I get reminded of it every time I do some sort of physical activity or have a drink or three.
Usually the next morning. :p

I'm 26 and pretty fit, and I still pull up pretty sore the next day from sport.

Not looking forward to being 50 and waking up the next morning after a big night of lawn bowls.

I am in Schroedingers mood, I don't know what it is until it happens.

Saw A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum at Her Majesty's theatre last night.

Amazing.

The film adaption is probably my favorite movie ever, and the play was brilliant.

Loved the BBC series of the same name with Frankie Howerd (yes 'Howerd') which I watched in the early 70s I'd guess.

Edit:
Aaargh! It was 'Up Pompei' I remember, not 'A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum' (although Howerd was in that too).

Led Zeppelin is overrated wishwash whose affect on the development of rock and metal music is overstated at best.

Don't get me wrong, I like them, but they fall down the pecking order of late 60s and early 70s rock.

Frankly I could think of nothing worse.

How many others here were born in the 1950's?
