Does anyone actually like 'How I met your mother'

I watched it the other night. It is a huge steaming pile of shit

I have watched it until now, but I don't think I'll ever rewatch it. The main character is the exact same character as Zach Braff in Scrubs. Basically, a little bitch. Now there is a silly who puts the pussy on a pedestal.

Now, speaking of Scrubs - that is now completely unrewatchable. Try it, ill be staggered if you last 5 minutes.

Wow, I totally disagree that JD and Ted Mosby are the same character.

JD always kept it light while being a whiny indecisive waste of space, but if it wasn't for the laugh track you'd think Ted was constantly ten seconds away from slitting his wrists and jumping off the roof.

Red Dwarf has a new season out, so I'm gonna put that in here. It's actually pretty decent. Season 4-5 level. Not as good as the first couple, but they were complete classics.

Pretty good show in general. Not an Arrested Development, or even a 30 Rock. But well above the pap and kept the quality up over a long period of time.

Clever classy show clearly made on tuppence ha'penny, like Dr Who had been for most of its existence. Took a couple of seasons to hit its stride but the addition of Kryton gave it the chemistry. Also the female Holly came in around then. Struggled after about 5 seasons and if there is a new season I can't see how it would have recovered. The guys were visibly aging and the characterisation is pretty constrained (slacker, dead loser as a hologram, mutated cat, bumbling robot, ditzy computer).

IMO It recovered by being funny. Silly as that sounds, it just stopped being funny around season 5 or 6. It's just the four of them, no Holly/Hattie. Went back to it's roots. Good jokes, situations. Feel like it has worked. Only watched two episodes so far though.

The new Red Dwarf episodes are ok (I do still appreciate the idea of a sci-fi sitcom) but its more of a boyzone than any other show I watch, and that includes shows like Sons of Anarchy.

An opinion on some of the shows mentioned in the last page or so.

Dexter - Great start, has died off a bit though, just watching it to see how it all ends (turns out they were dead the entire time)
Scrubs - Great show, and entirely rewatchable - one of my true favourites.
HIMYM - Watchable, but always a bit meh.
Red Dwarf - Only caught a couple of episodes of the new series, but a return to mid-career form. Not as good as the first three, but a lot better than that tripe that was seasons 7 onwards.

Dexter at its best is fantastic, though its had some really bland seasons.

HIMYM is great the first couple times you watch it then you realise every episode is identical.

Good to see The League season 4 has begun as well
