Golden Breed striped t-shirts were a staple for any kid growing up in the 70's, and I believe the company started in some guys garage at Christies Beach.

Yep. Have fond memories of Golden Breed t-shirts and rugby tops.
They had a seconds outlet attached to the factory at Lonsdale too.

Nobody will deny we've had our share of awful clash jumpers. We have. But we clearly learnt from past mistakes and have now settled on arguably the best home/away ensemble in the league.

We also didn't employ the use of blatant propaganda via the mass media to sell these awful ideas to the public.

They did a great range of padded/ribbed jumpers for motorcyclists too, that's what made me wonder how they disappeared. My eldest son has this monster Kwaka motocrosser now and it reminded me of the days when my mates and I all had our trail bikes and a couple of appropriate GB padded tops. And I was young.
