I'm gonna throw it out there. Rory Sloane has become the most overrated player in the comp.

He's an amazing value pick for where he was selected, and he's a hard working, determined, tough player with decent skills and good decision making. But he ain't a star and he isn't in the top 50 players in the comp. He's helped by the fact that Thompson and Dangerfield take most of the defensive attention away from him and half-way through last year that was proven. As soon as he had a player put on him, his form dropped away quite fiercely. He only broke 30 touches once last year. I think Bernie Vince's 2009 was far better than Rory Sloane's 2012, and would you put Vince anywhere near the top 50 players?

I think it's a massive overreaction because he played noticeably well in a good team. If he improves again this year, I'll eat my words, but for now... jesus, reign in the expectations.

Sloane's first half of 2012 was excellent and deserving of the hype. His second half of 2012 was average, but because this is Adelaide and he's a Crows player nobody noticed. Play at least half a year of good football in Crows colours and you can coast off of that reputation for the rest of your career.

Of all the 30+ year olds in my classes at Uni, I reckon about 90% of them are doing marine biology. Why is marine biology so appealing to them? Was it Seinfeld?

But then i guess every profession is male dominated because men go out to work while the women are at home cleaning.

Exactly! I don't get it when someone tells a joke about telling a woman to get back to the kitchen. I've worked in 3 pubs now and 95% of the chefs are male. Literally I think I've worked with about 30 chefs and 3 of them have been female. The Belair Hotel where I work at now has about 12 chefs on the roster and only 1 of them is female.
