Pearce had a good game. People seem to forget he had good games for us too, and even as recently as last year. He's not suddenly a better player at Freo. Pearce also especially loved the atmosphere of showdown clashes so no surprise he went well in the derby. But 23 disposals at 61% DE is pretty standard for Danyle.

Not that long ago Lower was being held up as the poster boy for turning his career around at Freo. How's that worked out for him?

I like Pearce but to use Hinkley's own word against him, he couldn't or wouldn't stick by the club during the tough times. Similar to Chaplin and Jacobs (and to a lesser extent Shaun Burgoyne but that's long in the past now) and while I don't hope they get injured or anything, their new clubs should know what sort of "sticker" they're going to be getting.
