It's the racism and physical altercations that are not okay. Anyone trying to advocate for them is an idiot.

Its not so much the swearing even, it's the inciting of violence through a racist action which could give the club a very bad name. Might as well relocate to Cronulla.

It bothers me a bit, but it wont stop me from going to the footy. It's the thousands of others I worry about.

I do get where you're coming from. I also don't have kids with me so I might change my tune if it happened when I had them tagging along.

On the topic of dickheads at the football has anyone seen those Crows supporting toss bags that sit in bay 120 I think it is. They come to every Port game just to cheer on the opposing team. I mean thanks for the money but god you guys are w***ers. At the GWS game one was dressed in high vis clothing and one is a dragonball z outfit, Im pretty sure they got booted out that game.

They have very small penises and are overcompensating through lairish behaviour.

Common in mouth breathers.

I saw that DBZ guy, he looks like 12.

They're notorious, and not universally liked. They'll get theirs, probably via a ban or the fact that we'll be untrollable through winning and they won't bother anymore

They're serial pests, used to ring a bell but I think that got banned. They will get their heads knocked in soon enough and they will cry foul. You go to a darts game and carry on like they do. I suspect they won't be there for much longer if we keep winning.

I am going to be honest and say i did not take my kids to the game this week for fear of some of this stuff. The GWS game was the first they had been to, but I just thought it would be a bit of a risk to take them to the Showdown. Disappointed in that it would have been amazeballs for them to witness that win, but the stuff being talked about on here makes me think it was probably the right call. Will be at the Eagles game with them though....

Yeah, the showdown sounds ludicrous every year. Wise choice I think.

I remember being at a showdown once and had a half full bottle of coke thrown at my head my a crows w***er. He couldn't try and hide his self quick enough when I stood up and turned around. If it had hit my mum who had been sitting next to me I would have been up there punching his teeth in. There was no reason for it either, but apparently cheering for your own team isnt an ok thing to do

Hell i've even had a wooden spoon thrown at me.......

People get worked up, and drunk, its understandable that things like this will happen in sport.

Yes the people who do this shit are mostly scumbags to begin with, but I think better systems need to be put in place to prevent things like this happening.

When you see a fight between different supporters in the cheersquad's bay, what is the problem? Is it the supporters starting fights the opposition who have come to sit in their bay? Is it the opposition supporter being a dickhead and sitting in someone else's bay just to cause fights? or is it the stadium's fault for allowing someone to do it when we've seen how it ends countless times?

It really is not that hard, I guess I just don't understand the AFL supporter's mindset when they think Adelaide and Port Adelaide supporters should be mixed together at the showdown. Yes we don't have it as bad as the soccer does, the kind of fights they can have are ridiculous by comparison, but why let it exist at all?

It might be my age but this stuff doesn't really worry me. I've heard and seen much worse at the football over the years than what these guys get up to.
I would have put up with it (racial stuff isnt on though), unless I'd had my 6 y.o. daughter with me.

I recognise the guy they named as having copped a few month ban out of it, and he's a fairly loose nut....

It's a pretty sad state of affairs when thats not possible.

This is the key, most stuff I can put up with, have been to soccer in England as well, and it goes on. But if my 9 and 6 year old were with me, it is a different story. Sport is no excuse for these morons to behave like they do, it will drive supporters away from the game just at a time when we cannot afford that to happen. But I think these guys think the club/sport/world revolves around them as they are 'true' fans...

I swear a lot in my day to day life thats for sure. I'm also in the upper echelon of boisterous supporters with my yelling and abuse whilst at the game..... I even ran to the Crows race to hurl abuse at them as they walked off after the match. I dont swear however.

There was a Crow supporter in our bay who was dropping the F and C bombs with such regularity it made it unenjoyable. It should not be tolerated at the footy.

Next year I will be bringing my son who'll be 3 by the time the season starts and I'd expect some respect for families at the footy. As I've gotten older my tolerance for shit behaviour has shortened, especially since I became a father.

In saying that, this will be my sons role model next year....without swearing of course

I dont see a problem with the bays having mixed supporter groups. It doesnt make a scrap of difference if bays are segregated imo. w***ers are always going to be w***ers regardless of what club they support and letting them 'hide' amongst larger groups of same club supporters just gives them security, in their minds.

Rather than try and hide from the problem, we need to find the root of it and weed it out.

We have technology available to us to certainly be able to identify these ning nongs and it should be used to weed them out. We need to show that any sort of unacceptable behaviour will be swiftly and effectively dealt with, especially anything violence related.

It's nice watching us play under full sunlight and seeing black uniforms.

Not sure why we dont have relatively simple MCG's system of "report an idiot vis SMS".

Although getting WESLO to check their messages on the Nokia 3200 may prove problematic.

There's the reason why showdowns rarely sell out.
