It's the racism and physical altercations that are not okay. Anyone trying to advocate for them is an idiot.

It bothers me a bit, but it wont stop me from going to the footy. It's the thousands of others I worry about.

On the topic of dickheads at the football has anyone seen those Crows supporting toss bags that sit in bay 120 I think it is. They come to every Port game just to cheer on the opposing team. I mean thanks for the money but god you guys are Moos. At the GWS game one was dressed in high vis clothing and one is a dragonball z outfit, Im pretty sure they got booted out that game.

They're serial pests, used to ring a bell but I think that got banned. They will get their heads knocked in soon enough and they will cry foul. You go to a darts game and carry on like they do. I suspect they won't be there for much longer if we keep winning. On the topic of dickheads at the football has anyone seen those Crows supporting toss bags that sit in bay 120 I think it is. Yeah, the showdown sounds ludicrous every year. Wise choice I think.I am going to be honest and say i did not take my kids to the game this week for fear of some of this stuff. The GWS game was the first they had been to, but I just thought it would be a bit of a risk to take them to the Showdown. Disappointed in that it would have been amazeballs for them to witness that win, but the stuff being talked about on here makes me think it was probably the right call. Will be at the Eagles game with them though....

I would have put up with it (racial stuff isnt on though), unless I'd had my 6 y.o. daughter with me.It might be my age but this stuff doesn't really worry me. I've heard and seen much worse at the football over the years than what these guys get up to.
It's a pretty sad state of affairs when thats not possible. It really is not that hard, I guess I just don't understand the AFL supporter's mindset when they think Adelaide and Port Adelaide supporters should be mixed together at the showdown. Yes we don't have it as bad as the soccer does, the kind of fights they can have are ridiculous by comparison, but why let it exist at all?
This is the key, most stuff I can put up with, have been to soccer in England as well, and it goes on. But if my 9 and 6 year old were with me, it is a different story. Sport is no excuse for these morons to behave like they do, it will drive supporters away from the game just at a time when we cannot afford that to happen. But I think these guys think the club/sport/world revolves around them as they are 'true' fans...I would have put up with it (racial stuff isnt on though), unless I'd had my 6 y.o. daughter with me.
I recognise the guy they named as having copped a few month ban out of it, and he's a fairly loose nut....

Not sure why we dont have relatively simple MCG's system of "report an idiot vis SMS".We have technology available to us to certainly be able to identify these ning nongs and it should be used to weed them out. We need to show that any sort of unacceptable behaviour will be swiftly and effectively dealt with, especially anything violence related.
There's the reason why showdowns rarely sell out.I am going to be honest and say i did not take my kids to the game this week for fear of some of this stuff. I think it is a pretty blatant reality where showdowns are concerned. It's a pretty sad state of affairs when thats not possible.
