that sucks, but not as bad as my friends business and home that burnt down last night at Bowhill .

Unlucky. I only just got my car back a couple of days ago from being rear ended after the Geelong game. Thankfully he had insurance though.

Check your insurance company though. A lot of them will still pay out a certain amount for damage caused by an uninsured driver.

If you've got comprehensive, the fact the other driver has no money is your insurer's problem, and if you have third party you would have up to 5k for your car as Macca said

That looks like my only realistic hope outside of the guy paying me on a weekly basis. I only have third party, so I don't know what the likelihood of that happening is.

Make sure you report it take photos get your quotes and be prepared to take civil action....people lie though their teeth when it comes to most accidents....this is a guy that has already shown how responsible he is by taking a car on the road with no insurance....maybe he can borrow money....you only have his word he doesn't have assets he can sell....whats left of his car for starters......take his word for nothing.

Yeah I've already gone through the process of doing a police report incl. Photos and have a panel beater coming out this week to assess my car. I'll get back in touch with the guy once that is sorted.
