We should have batted better. Aussie coaches need to get started with our batting. Im sick of these collapses at crucial times. Some fresh kid 19 years old bats his arse off, and he's not in the team as a batter. We need some solid runs to help our bowling out. The likes of Patto, Starc, and Siddle must spew up everytime we collapse and fall short of runs.

You better be watching old fart, we need your support. :p

I'm sneaking looks but I still remember horrible close results going back to the Allan Border / Jeff Thomson 10th wicket partnership that bloody Botham of course had to break.

What a great last partnership.

I am fearing an MCG 1982-83 3 run result with Thomo and Border put on 70 and 2005 Edgbaston when Lee and Kasprowicz put on 59 and fell 2 runs short.

See what us old geezers have been through???

Yeah no offence intended but um, it's only cricket.

You forgot the bullshit mcdermott dismisal where border the cricket ball he was shining up for a good hour through the wall

1.5 minutes to lunch. Broad wasting time messing around with his own shoe. How long is lunch? 40 minutes?

What was that about? You think you'd want to get at Australia's #11 just before lunch not hide in the shed with black pudding and mash.

No offence taken. But theres only one team that i am so passionate about more than Port. And thats the Aussie Test team, so ride my posts or dont read them.

Gamesmanship. They knew that they would only have 1 more over before lunch so he wasted time and waited for the very last moment to make Pattinson sweat.

I still am affected by the 1 run loss to the Windies in Adelaide in 1992-93 season. It was the 4th test we were 1-0 up and unlucky not to be 2-0 up as Warnie bowled fantastic at the Gabba in the first test, but Richie Richardson got a draw.

Tim May took 5-11 in the second dig, bowled Windies out for 146 and we needed 185 and were set to beat the Windies in a series for the first time since 1975-76. We were 2-50 odd. Were 8-100 and Tim May at 10 batting with Langer came in and made 42. Craig McDermott made 18 as no.11 they put on 40, then Walsh bounced Mcdermott he fished at it, it hit the peak of his helmet and the umpire gave him out.

Everyone was shattered. It was Border's last chance to be in a winning series against the Windies. went to Perth a few days later for the 5th, We were 3 for about 100 then Ambrose took 7-1 we were out for 120, they made about 320 and then we under 200 and lost by an Innings and 20 odd runs.

There was the test chasing 120 odd against the Yappies in 1993-94 SCG test and lost by 5 runs.

The 2 tests in 1981 series where we were set about 140 to 150 in the 3rd and 4th tests and first Botham with the bat and Willis with the ball and then Botham with the ball we lost the 2 tests by 19 and then 29 runs.

Remember that one thankfully not in such tortuous detail. I will never forget that ****ing edge off the helmet.

I remember an appeal against Rod Marsh being caught at fine leg being given not out and no one could understand why until they watched the replay and realised he missed the hook and it flew that far off his head (no helmet in those days).
