Hoping KT gets in Vlad's and Gillon's ears about Friday night R23 v Carlton
Won't happen.
I think I've posted this somewhere else before so apologies if I'm repeating myself, but looking at the matches there will be three games without any top 8 teams, GCS/GWS, Crows/WCE and Dees/Dogs. These three games will be played on the Sunday. Of the 6 remaining games, two are at the MCG (Ess/Tigers, Pies/Norf). Obviously there are never two games played at the same ground on one day so one of these MCG games will be on the Friday night, the other in a Saturday slot. Essendon vs Richmond will most likely get the Friday night as they are a) ranked higher than the Pies and Roos and b) will draw a bigger crowd. Sydney v Hawthorn will get Saturday night being the biggest game of the round. Hopefully we're the other Saturday night game.
FWIW I'm predicting (hoping) it will look like this:
Bombers v Tigers, MCG, Friday night
Cats v Lions, Simonds, Saturday
St K v Fremantle, Etihad, Saturday
Pies v Norf, MCG, Saturday twilight
Us v Carlton, AAMI, Saturday night
Sydney v Hawthorn, ANZ, Saturday night
GCS v GWS, Metricon, Sunday early
WB v Demons, Etihad, Sunday
WCE v Adelaide, Patersons, Sunday twilight.

The true Port Adelaide spirit.

Sitting in the car waiting for the traffic to clear, there, right in front of me was a shiny black Mercedes.

Moments later a couple returned to the Merc............the lady carrying two 4 litre Coolibah casks:D

Richmond play Sunday arvo in Sydney (vs GWS) the week before. They won't give them only a 5 day break leading into finals. The end result? The AFL's 'floating' fixture is, and always has been, pretty much guaranteed to have the Colliwobbles front up for yet another prime time Friday night fixture. Shock, horror.

A Saturday night fixture for Port would be excellent, and since it might be the 'pre-finals Elimination final', would be a fitting Saturday night game. I bet we get the Twilight fixture instead though.

I am posed with a conundrum.

Currently, I work full time in electronics sales up to 28 hours a week as a 3IC keyholder for 35,000 a year plus excellent flexibility for time off while I still complete my uni internally full-time. My roster is thursday-sunday (no weekends off).

I am about to be offered a role full time with Samsung (oddly enough, within the same store I currently am in, so I don't need to move I just change employers and roles) for 40,000 a year + 20% commission if I meet KPI's (Which I will) for 36 hours a week with Sunday and Monday as RDOs, late start early finish on tuesdays.

Right now, I run thursday night shifts, saturday and sunday all day, i'm a talented salesperson and I smash all of my KPI's, I love the team here and I enjoy my job and the flexibility, money is decent considering I only work 28 hours, i've been offered management however I turned it down because of my full time uni commitment which I want to get done. (Though, where I work you have to stay back for probably 30 minutes after shifts to prepare for the next day, unpaid, so can probably round it out to ~30 hours)

Okay so...do I take this job with a huge company like Samsung (with a possible internal recruitment opportunity for an IT based role for what im studying, at a guess), and finish the rest of my uni (only a year) externally while working full time for Samsung (in my current store, still with the same group of people im with now) for ~47k a year WITH Sunday off for the first time in years (so I can go to port matches, home and away considering I don't work mondays). I will also have training duties to the staff, to train them about Samsung products.

Or do I stick with what I have now, considering its flexible, pay is decent for the hours worked and I get to do my uni for the most part internally?

Help me, my port board brothers.

EDIT: It also allows me to have a full day with my other half for the first time in years on sundays.

ALSO:

Pick the option with the bigger ****.

When I saw you were the first reply I thought to myself "here we go" as I opened the thread, did not disappoint.

I know right.

I should have an "Ask Eddie" agony aunt style thread. I'll fix shit for people.

Our game has been confirmed for 4.10 sat arvo. Happy with that. Collingwood will be spewing if they make finals, their down to play on the Sunday.

I could ask you all the questions that #TeamTorque won't answer!

I think we should do this together as you can provide the female perspective on sensitive issues like "Sould I wear a push up bra that shows off my nipples or go without a bra?"

"Ask Eddie and Portia - you know they'll help"

The female perspective of that would probably be implying that the questioner is a bit slutty superficial behind her back. I don't know that we can replicate that very well in a thread.

unless there is a real chance of stepping on your own **** I think bra-less is a fine option..

Invaluable advice already.

Where were you when my Grandma was still kicking?

Doctor Feel - the main question would be if you will be able to find the adequate time to do your uni work externally. If you can do all your uni work up to the same standard, it looks like a good deal. Plus you get your foot in the door of a big company.

Also, ****.

My blue Samsung shirt would make many a girl reveal a tit or two.

Also, I don't have any qualms about doing uni externally, I have completed several courses already externally. To the same standard if I do them all externally? probably not, and I have a pretty high GPA to maintain. Though, I'm also happy to pace myself with it and finish six months later than expected. I'm leaning towards taking it, having sundays off is a fair bonus after working weekends for the last three years.

Now there's another Mega thread that's begging to be set up.
