Saw a thing on the correct pronunciation of names in another thread. My pet hate is Javier pronounced 'Jay-vier'.* It's pronounced 'Har-vyer' you cretins.

* At the shopping mall the other day there was even a parent who had named their kid Javier pronouncing it this way. Pure, unadulterated bogan.

If you are going from the original Basque it's 'schar-vyer'. However, as the English have bastardised it, 'zay-vier' has become acceptable. 'Ex-ay-vier' is never acceptable.

The post office is still a pain in the ass. I'm waiting for one of these companies to start up in Aus http://www.stamps.com/welcome/custom/home01/index86.html . Get a scale, weigh your package, print the stamp and you're good to go.

All the more reason not to leave it as a monopoly. Opened up I doubt any company would set up as a post service and that's it, but you can see courier companies and the like offering services for cities. Aust Post could then be paid something like Telstra's universal coverage payment for covering areas no one else can profitably. Personally I prefer to get bills via email anyway, but for the occasional time I need to post something I'd rather pay less

yeah before i did it i read all the neagtive and positive stuff about it but thought with wehre i was i had nothing to lose. it is nothing like a cult although i have never been in a cult so am not sure, we never did chants, we never made a pact to kill ourseleves, all i learnt was to look at things differently to what i had been and it made sense. i'm not doing the next course, it was pushed a bit but not as much as other say, i may do it but am happy with what i learnt. I would actually advise people to look at it rather than making a judgement on something you haven't personally experienced.
