Stations have an obligation to their viewers, Channel 7, with that idiot aboard, is failing badly.

They were already doing that, long before said idiot came about. The idiot just makes it vaguely interesting.

Your logic, while correct, doesn't necessarily apply here. 'Mathematics' can be either a singular or plural noun depending on ones own interpretation of the word. Ergo, whether one uses 'math' or 'maths' depends on ones own interpretation on whether 'mathematics' is plural or singular. Alternatively, one may see no correlation between its noun status and contraction and will use the term that they are most comfortable using.

It is maths unless you are American where the incorrect contraction is acceptable.
You write math in an essay in Australia without being ironic or quoting an American you will be marked down.
Mathematics is a plural and there has to be a correlation between the original and the contraction or it is not a contraction.

Is Tim Nunan the is crappest ever weather presenter, he's such an embarrassment to himself, channel 7, Souf Australia and his family.

I think he's piss funny.

I sense great vulnerability. A man child crying out for love. An innocent orphan in the post modern world.

I see a parasite. A sexually depraved miscreant who is seeking only to gratify his basest and most immediate urges.

His struggle is man's struggle. He lifts my spirit.

He is a loathesome, offensive brute.... Yet I cant look away.

He transcends time and space.... He sickens me.... I love it.

So I need to choose an elective.

Trying to decide between:

Personal financial management
Discovering opportunities in property
Management principals
portfolio and fund management
World puppetry (lol)

But seriously, I need to choose one of the top 4.

Edit: Because I am 12.

Management principles. As a general rule of thumb Management units are wanky and boring (though if you're not a mathematical thinker this might be your easiest option).

Discovering opportunities in property. Don't know anything about this, sounds like a tafe unit, probably crap.

Personal financial management and portfolio and fund management will be pretty similar units and your best options imo. I'm currently doing a second year financial planning unit, it mostly focuses on the tax effect of things like super and fringe benefits as well basic legal requirements of anyone giving financial advice. The maths is straight forward and they don't expect you to remember specific accounting standards. Can't go wrong with either of these choices, read the unit outline to find the best option.

I was thinking the same things. Only issue is I can do portfolio first semester next year, or personal financial management second semester (my final semester of uni). They will both be done externally.

However if I do portfolio in first semester it means I have a full study load. If I do financial management in the second semester, it means I will split the study load 3 subjects each semester rather than 4 and 2.

Tough call. Given that the second semester has my ICT Project, i'm leaning towards the 4 and 2 option.

Knowing which units to choose and setting up your timetable really are the 2 hardest things about uni.

Okay so I made a complaint to KFC about comments made by a KFC employee. This is the reply I got. Cicero would be proud of this deep philosophical rambling.

Hi Matthew Lane,

im just responding to your complaint that you have lodged via the hotline. firslty i would like to start with an apologie for the expriance you had and would like to re-sure you this is not how our store runs. The person that you have stated that made the remarks is not a manger, he has been spoken to and made aware of the complaint that has been made and the expecations we have from a custmer point of view. At KFC we value all are custmers from the first one that walks through the door to the very last one. Again i would like to express our sincere apologies about your expriance and would like to offer you a voucher to spend at your local KFC. thank you for your time.

Thank you,

Oh boy.

For the record, the complaint was to port lincoln KFC. Myself, my other half and her family went to KFC at about 11:30pm on a Friday night (half an hour before closing time).

A staff member remarked loudly that "There is always one group that comes in before closing time" rolling his eyes at us. I said righto, sorry to waste your time, and we all walked out. Working currently as a manager in retail sales, this struck a chord with me because it was a disgraceful display of customer service so I decided to make a complaint partially just to be a dick and partially because if I said something like that i'd lose my job.

At least KFC make their employees apologise for complaints rather than it being handled by someone in a complaints department.
