Channel 10 news just spoiled the ending of Breaking Bad. I was planning on finishing it off tonight. Thanks, you ****ing sillys.

Your fault for being so far behind ;). It was predictable anyway.

Everyone is kill except Jessie who is speed racer. The end.

Eagles supporters are the best..

They decided to play a Plodding F**** Gnome that brings no one else into the game, opposition runs off him at will and is a Butcher of the ball with his flourbag helicopter kicks. Disgrace of a footballer.

I'm talking about Priddis. And we let Ebert walk because Worsfold put as much effort into the team as he did into saving his disintegrating marriage, whilst banging some 23 yo.

Don't F**** get me started about Ploddus.

Been watching the world #1 USA v Matildas international played in the USA Sunday night their time. It's at the 68 minute mark as I type this.

Gotta say the first half was very entertaining and enjoyable soccer to watch. A very fast paced open game and the technical skills are pretty high standard. The Yanks were 2-0 up at half time. They had 3 great chances and scored twice. One goal was a bit soft by the Aussie defence and goalie.

But Australia had 3 great chances but the Yanks have the worlds best goalkeeper Hope Solo, who made 4 saves, 3 were great saves. Aussie forward Davanna is bloody quick and finds space.

The Aussie goalie made a really poor attempt to stop a player shooting for goal as she was running wide of the goals and almost the back goal line and the USA chipped it in with the outside of her boot 6 or 7 minutes into second half. But in the last 5 minutes has made a good save and then a great save tipping the ball over the bar. And Hope Solo makes another great save for the USA.

We have never beaten the USA. Its the 25th game against them. Unlike the men's national team, the new coach is playing lots of young players planning for 2015 WC. The USA coach coached the Matildas until the end of last year or early this year.

3 minutes of extra time, the yanks score in the 2nd and the game is lost 4-0.

I'm going to have to take a bit more notice of woman's international soccer after that game. Way better standard than the W league games I have occasionally seen.

Just heard on Triple M that Port has had 96% of their members renew for 2014!

Have they given names and addresses of the other 4%?

They need to be spoken to.

Death and divorce. I am sure there are plenty of newbies too.

You take the dead ones I'll deal with the divorced ladies.

And then you can deal with the divorced blokes.

Is this going on the seat deposits they've received for our seats at Adelaide Oval? Because other than that I'm yet to receive my renewal forms.
It is based on survey results.

Random Thought That Doesn't Deserve It's Own Thread: Durability

7 players played every single game for Port in 2013:
1) Monfries
2) Wingard
3) Wines
4) Schulz
5) Broadbent
6) O'Shea
7) Ebert

Having young guns like Wingard, Wines and O'Shea play that many games in one year leaves us in good stead. It's exciting that Jay "Injury Waiting To Happen" Schulz can finally play a full season (albeit he probably was injured for a large part of it). Broadbent and Ebert are just guys that never miss a game - both have played every single game since R1 2012.

3 players only missed 1 game:
1) Westhoff (suspension that could have gone either way)
2) Cornes (ridiculuos suspension)
3) Boak (minor impact injury)

2 players only missed 2 games;
1) Hartlett (through suspension - surprisingly never injured)
2) Carlile

So, basically, we're incredibly lucky and incredibly durable - and settled as a team.

Anyone interested in using distributed computing to help with science and medicine should look at the seti@home and rosetta@home projects.
The software you download will use your CPU when idle to complete thing such as DNA sequencing for Rosetta, and searching the universe for extraterrestrial life in seti.

The Rosetta project is looking for cures to HIV, Malaria, Cancer, and Alzheimer's, and when you go away from your PC, it will put a screen saver up showing you exactly what its doing. Showing you all the maths its completing, the DNA strands weaving together and so on. It's really cool, and an easy way to 'donate' to important research.

The research is conducted by reputable universities such as Oxford, Harvard and California. There is a strong Aussie presence in the @home projects, where you can also establish teams and keep records of how many projects your teams have completed and so on. Perhaps we could make a bigfooty team.
