Also, has anyone else here seen "Hercules Returns". I used to watch that movie a hell of a lot, I don't think I can recommend to anyone though, unless you are drunk or love the 90s.

For the record I still refer to family and elder family friends as uncle/aunty etc. just the way I was brought up in a Chinese family. To this day I still ask my friends before entering their homes how I should address their parents.

I usually just get a bit of a chuckle and get told to address them by their first names.

saying 'Burgess' is probably a little disrespectful but it is kind of excusable in the AFL world, where blokes go by their last name often.. still it would be better to hear 'Burgo' from a new recruit or ideally Darren Burgess. maybe it was nerves combined with the fact that he doesn't know his first name yet.
