The sky is only ever "pitch black" at night when there is cloud cover. Otherwise, unless you are looking at the sky from a light polluted region, stars will always be visible. The fact that you can see stars at night is that light is being reflected off them from a light source eg the sun. If you are viewing the sky at night from a city the reflected light is obscured by the city lights.
Stars create and emit their own light - that is why they appear to twinkle (due to the changing strength of the light being produced).
Planets reflect light from stars and that is why they don't twinkle and appear as 'solid' objects in the sky.

Just hit a roo on the freeway at 110kmh. Cars ******. How ******* hard is it for them to realise they probably shouldn't jump in front of that loud bright thing that's coming towards them. ****!

When I was about 15-16 the first one of my mates from my year at high school got his licence. We were driving around to celebrate, I think we might have gone to pick someone up, and this kangaroo came bounding up from the side, being a responsible driver he saw it coming and slowed then stoped the car. The stupid animal hopped square into the side of the stopped car and did about $1200 damage.

Without a doubt one of the funniest moments of my life.

No one really knows one way or the other. The big bang theory is ridiculous unless a God is involved.
The discussions/arguments have been going on for time immemorial.

God damn it, ambulance chasing kangaroos. Their insurance must pay out a fair bit.

Holy shit, how is this for coincidence.

My last save game on super mario galaxy 2 was made 15/11/2010.

I just started playing it again since that last save the the other day...with my first save being made on 15/11/2013.

That's freaky!

I think it must be closely related to uni coming to an end around these dates, meaning I go on the prowl for some vidya.

Right, I will be in Rome on the 21st. It will be about midnight when the first bowl in the First Test is bowled. I want to watch it at a pub.

Anyone who has been there know of any places I can check out?

Drop in on Rucci's place. I'm sure he'd have the relevant interwebzy or pay tv thingy. Oh you could also punch him in the nose whilst you're at it.

Saying that neither theory can be disproven is disingenuous because the big bang theory adheres to scientific principles that are being tested constantly and haven't been disproven, while religion as a rule doesn't offer any testable hypotheses.

What a load of crap. All matter was in a tiny tiny space.
  • nobody knows what started the eruption
  • the universe is almost a completely uniform temperature, contrary to big bang theory

"There is an infallible old man in the sky, so there."

Congratulations everyone, you have now graduated with a PhD in Intelligent Design.
3 questions Professor for your large large brain.

1/ how did all matter get into a tiny tiny space

2/ how long was all matter in a tiny tiny space

3/ what caused all matter in the tiny tiny space to suddenly expand

The Smaller Warrior did it.
