So he got less than 20 years for all that. **** the court system sucks. Now I know there is a fundamental separation of power between what the government wants and what the courts rules but geez, you almost need every judge to have a kid or family member, assaulted, r*ped or brutally murdered so they wake up and concentrate on what is fair to the victiom and their familes and not the bloody perpatrator.

I reckon we would get a 90% yes vote if there was a constitutional referendum on judges having no discretion the sentencing for certain crimes and they are 40 year minimums.

He was a schoolteacher at Hackham West Primary. Taught a bunch of older kids in my street and the house behind the one opposite had its backyard dug up circa mid-90's. Everything pointed to him but they could never prove it beyond reasonable doubt.

Glad they finally got him for Ms. Bell. Hopefully they can finally get whoever it was who took Rhianna Barreau.

The only consistent 'truth' claim is for the existence of a God, the manifestation changes according to cultural norms.

Which is why I don't really bother arguing with Deists, even though I disagree with them.

The fact is that all religions make countless specific truth-claims beyond "there's an omnipotent being".

Yep it was a terrible time to be a young person in Adelaide. Beaumonts, Radcliffe and Gordon, Truro and Family serial killings, Louise Bell and a few more. I have 2 cousins who were friends with 2 of Bevan's victims. I have no doubt 1 is still greatly affected by what happened. The other gets very angry if its ever raised.
