Be thankful to all your relatives and friends and never let anybody leave your life without being on talking terms.
My sister and I were not best friends but we parted friends and that is something I will cherish forever.

Keep your immediate family close and your extended family (even if they are crows supporters) on call.
We only have a short time in this life, so make it worthwhile.

geez I thought I was slow when I found out about 4 years after I first heard it, what a hummer was. Prozac was referred to as Mothers Little helper in the 1970's but I don't think that what it means when he sings "Mother's little helper is coming out for more." That took a long time before I worked that out.​

I've never heard of full explanation of what he means by the following but I'm sure it's a made up rhyme. Read somewhere years ago that there is a place called Dorset Garden and maybe it refers to that.​

Christmas does give us* a bit of an out to initiate contact and I agree don't let the phone ring to be told X has died and realise pride/inertia/selfishness has stopped you trying to honour or tidy up an old relationship. I've been lucky that Mrs Powerstufff has always gone to great lengths in that area. When we met I was the opposite. But time and again since I've seen the value of going the extra mile socially.

* Well those of a European and/or Christian background. But there are equivalents for those of other backgrounds through the year.

I'm following something like 4 different sub-threads on this thread, the problem is some are earnest but most frivolous. I need a secretary.

Problem is now if the aussies win tomorrow he (Watson) will be gifted another 20 tests

The Radio 891 commentators were discussing this in relation to Rogers i.e. magically we have a working line-up for the first time in a few years and so any negative comments about an individual player are sort of immaterial. There is no real pressure to change the line-up. Rogers for example has scored 2 x 50s this series, we can afford to give him more development time if we wish. As no-one has $%^&ed up totally the same applies to the whole team, assuming Boof and Clarke feel no-one out there is knocking the door down.

thats insane figures when you put it like that....I noticed freddie I thought he was one of the best players in terms of an all rounder...never knew watson even came close......

If you're not watching then bad luck for you. Mind you it is probably the most Sydney -centric TV show I have ever seen. Only one I can think of that could match it is Blue Murder re corrupt NSW coppers of the 1970's and 1980's, which also starred Richard Roxburgh
