I had an incredible band t-shirt collection back in the 80's. So many shirts I had to store them all in a boogie board cover. Some real gems, some of which I see going on eBay now for over $200. Too bad I gave them all away :(

Found a couple of my t shirts from when I was a kid (10 years old)... 1988 AC/DC Who Made Who Tour T Shirt & a vintage Bon Scott Tee.

Have put them in my sons drawer for when he's a bit older !!

The only old shirts I have left are a Descendents 'Milo Goes To College' shirt that a friend got for me in the US in '84 that is almost completely see-thru now, an Adolescents '87 tour shirt that now has all the tour dates faded off, and an original Van Halen '1984' baseball raglan (black 3/4 sleeves). Everything else is gone. Had some amazing skateboard t-shirts too. All gone.

Pretty much all my t-shirts are band shirts. I still have a bunch of smaller ones from back when I had a metabolism that I'm holding onto for my girls, mostly local bands, distro leftovers. There are some cringeworthy ones too like a Mighty Mighty Bosstones checker print atrocity and a Testeagles shirt. Right now I'm wearing a Wu Tang logo tshirt with the sleeves cut off. Cos I'm from the mean streets of Modbury

I had a Back in Black tour shirt and a shirt that looked like Angus Young was busting through your guts that I used to wear all the time between the ages of about 9-12. I wish I still had them.

I had a random mix. INXS Kick Tour, Angels Howling, Clowns of Decadence, Smashing Pumpkins Zero, Tism tour. Only one i have now is Radiohead 2012 tour.

The cut and fit of 1980's band t-shirts was second to none too. Nothing beat the old Fruit Of The Loom Screen Stars 50/50 poly-cotton blend shirts. Textile perfection.

I had an "Oils on the Water" t-shirt from the triple j 10th birthday gig.

I ****ing loved that shirt.

In the 70's when we were kids my mum took us to the royal show and said me and my brother could get one iron on transfer each. I got an AC/DC one and my older brother got a Sherbet one, which we both had ironed on to red Exacto windcheaters. Occasionally I still mock him over our respective choices.

You need to go back about 700 pages in this thread for when we were all laughing at Reidys username.

Always thought it was Manureid until it was pointed out by the glitterati that it was manureid. Real derp momento.

The bassline of Sherbet's 'Howzat' is the perfect sexual metronome.

Same same

They were that classic lightweight Australian band who were never destined to be popular outside of this country and they probably knew it. Why else would you write a song called "Howzat"?
They later changed their name to Highway in a forlorn effort to break into the US market.

While we're on this tangent, what was Molly smoking when he said (and has reiterated) that Skyhooks would've been as big as or bigger than KISS had they got the breaks and cracked the US market? And yes, Dingle, the answer is ****. But seriously?

Moreover, finding out the Cold Chisel ditty 'you got nothing I want' is based on their calamitous Stateside foray and that MTV considers Midnight Oil a 'one-hit wonder' due to their fleeting new world fame makes me a touch maudlin.
