Given the hit/miss ratio of KPF's in the AFL I think stocking them up isn't such a bad idea. Hawthorn did this to an extent in the mid 2000's and ended up with Roughead Franklin and 2 flags out of it. If 2 out of the 4 make it then your already half way to winning a premiership.Point being if Patton were to go crook, That's still a fairly tall team with 3 big KPFs (Boyd, Cameron, McCarthey) and a potential 4th on top of that in the next draft, I don't see the point in hoarding them. At least one or two of them won't get games, will not have shown a lot, thus will have little trade value in the future. No one is going to pay beyond a late first round pick for an unproven KPF who has played little AFL football.
