Just finished reading Under the Dome.
I have no one to blame but myself, but that was tripe - especially the 2nd half

Gave it to my wife for her birthday last year, she watches the show. Should feel ashamed of myself as I consider it crap but you don't often get easy shots like that with spouse's presents.

Still one of the best ever movies .....

Pretty damn good. I saw it at the drive-in when it came out and then again about 10 years ago. It still held up fairly well but kids today would puzzle about the need for the gangs to meet intially (why not do that on Facebook) and the Warrior's isolated helplessness trying to get home (just use your Smartphone).

Are there any other gangs movies that would compare to the Warriors?

A little bit of Clockwork Orange. A bit more of Westside Story. Probably quite a few more in Asian cinema where IMO gang fighting is not an uncommon theme.
