Good for you young fella, look forward to vomiting on your carpet after a pert pear game some time.

Tiles in the living areas! The back deck might be more comfortable for you.

Move in 2 weeks before the first AO match. Easy walk to the train station. Sweet.

Well I'm sitting here full of beer wondering if I should go to bed and on next is the lfl so I think I'll have another stubbie or 2

I was the Fast Times at Ridgemont High generation but had a massive appreciation for Clueless Alicia nonetheless.

Ah the old 'Fast Times' movie...every time I see Sean Penn I always remember him yelling 'You dick' at Uncle Martin

Someone mentioned poutine.

This is simply chips and gravy with cheese curds put in the gravy. So simple, and so effective. I love this stuff. I'd eat it five times a week if I could.

Canada's greatest culinary gift to humanity. Ranks right up with the pie floater.

Stuff the pea soup pie...i just miss the good old bung fritz

So sad that she peaked so early and never did anything else half decent. Kinda like Kournikova and that Wimbledon semifinal.

Fast Times is quality, too. :thumbsu:

Can't remember ever having that in Canada. Is that a Vancouver speciality like a floater is an Adelaide culinary delight??

I became very attached to going to pubs in Canada and ordering very hot or suicide hot chicken wings - usually causing me to drink more beer than I intended. I remember thinking why don't we have this in Oz or at least more food to go with the drinking at pubs. I reckon it took 10 years after I came home before a lot of pubs cottoned on to doing hot cooked snack food all day to go with the drinking.

Poutine is a Quebec thing that has moved west- it might not have been that big when you were out here. The new thing now is Poutine at Macdonalds and the other burger chains which is new.

Canadians are huge on wings- esp this weekend with the Super bOwl.

I love this guy (Louis CK)....
Top class comedian but like Larry David can be mind-meltingly dark. Lots of his stuff that gets shared around is filtered through appearances on more PG shows.

Hey guys, I'm looking for some old Magpies players badges from the late 80s and 90s. I'm looking for players like Tim Ginever, Scott Hodges, George Fiacchi, Paul Northeast, Darren Mead, Rohan Smith, David Brown, Michael Wilson, Greg Philips, Gavin Wangadeen (magpies or power) or any other Port Adelaide players from that era. If you have any I would be interested in buying them. I've already checked out a store called 'A Toss of a Coin' and eBay but no luck with the players I'm looking for.

Is appreciation the new immediate? ;)

Alicia Silverstone - "I think that the film Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness."

This thread could quite easily be re-titled the 'Random Euphemism Thread'.

I remember Alicia made the latest top 10 dumb things celebrities have said list, so added that in an edit. So a free quote with euphemism.

Any ideas on why it is not working for me? BTW what is the

Edit: Hmmm, the code is forcing odd behaviours. You may have to click on Reply to see what I actually typed.

.... After 5 years at Balfours i have now clocked up 8 years at Arnotts. YoYo is still going strong as one os SA's favourite biscuit .....
Something to gladden your heart @Killer Power. While at the supermarket today a couple of guys in front of me were buying 4 cartons of YoYos . I tried briefly to find out why from the two guys buying them, who looked like cast members of The Sopranos, but got a guarded response. Has someone found out they can be used instead of codeine when making ecstasy?

Mr Big's having a yoyo biscuit and tea party?

Maybe a new type of garrote?

I used to prefer to sing 'The wheels on the bus' more than '10 green bottles'.
