Filling in for a mate playing cricket tomorrow arvo, haven't played since under 12s. Going to be a disaster. :p

Got a question though, would it be weird to bat wearing glasses? I'm short sighted and I don't have contacts. Worried I won't see a thing coming if i bat without them. Anyone got any experience with that?

**** off four eyes.

Dirk Wellham ftw.

Do it man... Better than not seeing the ball.

We'll be heated out here this weekend...42...no game.
Friday arvo match, supposed to be a top of 36 but my guess is it cools down a bit by the time we go out to play.

s-shut up:oops:

Google image Dirk Wellham cos thats you. Or Zaheer Abbas. Or Geoff Blethyn. Or Nana Mouskouri. Or Sister Janet Mead.

No, but you should change your log in name to Dirk Wellham

Too soon pal.

Looks like i'll join a line of prodigious four eyes cricketers.

It's never too soon.

Is Nigel Smart dead yet I've got a heap of jokes.

I swear someone, most likely RussellEbertHandball made a post about the club's revenue/profit/loss and whatnot for all of our years in the AFL. Unfortunately I can't seem to find it, anyone care to help point me in the right direction?

I made a post about 12 months ago about our turnover since 2004 and profit and loss after grants is that what you mean??

Perhaps my description is poor, and perhaps it was somebody entirely different. I think it was in a table though and was fairly recent.

Oh yeah I remember that. I hope you understand it. The code function didn't work correctly to space out the columns.
I must say, I'm having a bit of trouble. I'll get there though.

What is Minority Int?

Minority Interest - That represented the 25% that the PAMFC Inc owned of The Port Club.

When you do a set of accounts for a group and where one or more of the subsidiaries isn't 100% owned by the parent company, you have to show what amount of the net profits and net assets of the group belong to the Minority Interest. That was the PAMFC Inc until November 2010 when the legal merger happened. That's why that figure is 0 for the 2011,12 and 13 years.

May I ask why you weren't able to (perhaps chose not to) do the years before 2004?

Slack plus I dont have figures for 1997-00 as I was a poor post graduate student and didn't buy a membership.

I recorded it.

Will watch very nervously tonight.
It was OK. Josh Earl does indeed have a squeaky voice and it took a while before he showed the authority that the Adam Hills role requires. Ella Hooper and Adam Richard are good in their roles so far but I'll be keen to see if they have the ridiculously comprehensive music knowledge Alan Brough and Myf Warhurst had.
Funny to see the show back. Unexpectedly it made me nostalgic as it was a show we loved to watch with our kids, and now they are all grown up.

After the 2 million the state government spent to recover the rotting carcass of a ship called "adelaide".

This is who cared as it arrived:

This ****ing state. I swear to god.

"People will be fairly impressed to see it and they'll get a better idea of its size because before it was dwarfed by the Palanpur," he said.

Peter Rogers, of Flinders Park, watched the unloading.

"It's fascinating," he said.

"It's not something you'll get to see again."

Jenni Howes, of Birkenhead, came to watch it last night and most of today.

She said it was worth the wait.

"It's pretty exciting," she said."
