Its the same for all paradox's grand strategy games TBH. I actually think Victoria is the hardest of the lot as it doesn't have near as good a tutorial, and the effects of what you do are a lot more subtle so its hard to tell what to do. CKII seems to have a really good tutorial etc, I just couldn't think of anything to do and started playing other games so didn't go back to it.

I played the shit out of Civ 4. Between that and Victoria 2 with all the expansions its hard to say what my favorite strategy game is.

That's the thing it is pretty much a sandbox. Becoming emperor of Britain starting as a Count is a pretty fun self contained game.

Steep learning curve but the depth is beyond any other game out there. tHE NEW EXPANSION IS GOING TO INCLUDE India AS WELL. huuuuge game


Civilization but very different at the same time. I am a long time Civ fan but CK2 blows it out of the water in scope and depth. It took me 12 hours of game time to become King of Wales let alone the rest of Europe and the Middle East.

If you are a a Game of Thrones fan it has the BEST MOD EVER!!

Hhhhnnggggg!!! I loved AOE2, Civ III and the orginal Medieval Total War. So many hours. Don't have a PC anymore though and they just don't seem to have good strategy games for ipad or PS3. I assume CK2 is PC also?

Yeah, hard to justify when gaming is all it would be used for and I have a PS3. Looks like I will just keep playing Assassin's Creed.
