Those packages are all for 12 months. After that 12 months the prices go up to like 120 or so.
Thats when you contact them direct and tell them that you are cancelling because you've lost your job and you might sign up next year if things are better, and the kind lady on the phone speaks to her manager and you get an extension on your special rate for another 6 months, which is when you ring up and tell them that you're cancelling because. ..... and the kind lady speaks to her manager etc ad nauseum.

My mum was actually trying to cancel for a few years because we'd moved out and she never watched it.

For 2 years she was getting basic+sports for like $25 a month because they'd do anything to keep her business before they finally accepted her cancellation.

I'm fairly sure we've had our package for at least 18 months, and our prices haven't changed much, if at all.

I got mine to around 90 odd. I've got two boxes in the house though. Only thing I don't have is movies, which you would have to be a bit special to pay for.

No arguments there. We really only got Foxtel because we bought a TV that was too large for any standard definition broadcast to look anything other than shit (especially sport).

First world problems :(

Aren't you supposed to say that when someone complains about something?

I think it is still apt in this case, he was merely stating that only someone in the first world would have that sort of problem.

Hmm, fair enough. I'm glad that my problems aren't really problems though.

Here we are 16 years later and if I want a snowboarding video game, my best option is still 1080 snowboarding for the N64.

So much potential never realised.
SSX Tricky was legit, brother.

Yep as far as a proper snowboarding game that was one of the best lately it's a forgotten genre, I also didn't mind snowboard kids on the same platform which was like Mario kart snowboarding.

Edit - what Dos Semanas said lol.

As far as JRPGs go I really enjoyed the older pre XIII final fantasy games, but for some reason they tried to become a westernised action rpg which isn't what made the franchise great. I will be picking up the FFX HD remaster when it releases.

I didn't end up playing it but Ni no kuni was one of the highly rated JRPGs of last gen, my mate said it was one if the best he played.

The Tales of series is still pretty damn good.

I really want to play Ni no kuni, but I want to finish at least a couple of the games I already have before buying another one T_T
