What's the common consensus on nine inch nails?

I am interested in seeing Queens of the Stone age but don't want my ears to bleed before they play their set, if they play second that is

If you want to see QOTSA, then see them.... You dont have to watch NIN just because you're there.

I'm not a fan of either tho.

Yeh, good advice, have already missed out on Soundgarden and Pearl Jam because I didn't want to go to the big day out to see them.

Really wish they could have done some solo shows.

Its ****ed in the head that a lot of bands are only coming here for festivals these days. But, if I want to see certain guys, I'll have to make do.

I'm an audio snob, so rarely happy at a festival.

I'm eagerly awaiting the death of festivals for this very reason.

Saw NIN at a BDO some years back. They put on a fairly good show. Seeing as you are there anyway.....

I went to see A Day To Remember and Panic At The Disco, thoroughly enjoyed them both and I'm only slightly ashamed about it.

It's OK to like these things. You can even, for example, wear womens underwear if that's what's more comfortable, no one is going to judge you. Don't be ashamed. It's 2014.

:D
Just for the record (and to protect my integrity) I haven't listened to either since I was a little 16 year old emokid and only saw them for the nostalgia factor/nothing else major was on. They both know how to entertain.

Don't be ashamed of who you are. I'm a green day and living end fan (sure, they've been poo in terms of releases for years, but i love nostalgia) and I'm proud of it.

Man up.

Mods what are the chances of orgasing a stickied thread purely for posting links to articles related to the PAFC in anyway?

No discussions just links and if required a direction to the correct thread for discussion.

Oh yeah, my taste in music now is perfect ;)
I loved that Green Day played a bunch of their cooler old shit between all their vanilla smash hits since 97.

Both bands are catchy as hell, no need to justify it. I was just teasing with the other post, just parroting the stupid shit people have said to me before. Didn't put enough sarcasm emoticons on it, I'm sorry.

They didn't play basket case which was shit, but 2,000 Light Years Away was awesome. If they cut out their shit from after American Idiot and played more stuff from Dookie, Imsomniac and Nimrod it would have been a lot better.

"Next week, Adelaide are organising a gathering for their elderly fans to try and teach them how to cheer and chant at games, in hopes of turning Adelaide Oval into a cauldron and make it an intimidating place to visit for the opposition. Whilst on 5aa, official Crows ambassador Stephen Rowe was trying to sell the idea to Mick Malthouse who immediately interrupted Rowe, by saying the Crows wouldn't be able to do it as it would be manufactured. He also said that with Port Adelaide fans it would just happen (creating a cauldron-like atmosphere).

Crows fans and players will get a rude shock they come out onto Adelaide Oval for the round 2 Showdown and hear real passionate fans. Remember when Dangerfield said our crowd noise was "scary" last year?"

Shamelessly stolen from We are Port Adelaide FB.

Probably my 2nd favourite band of all time. Outstanding live. Trent Reznor is a genius.
