So many warranties are bullshit though. Just charging people for rights that they're already legally entitled to Australian consumer law anyway. And what's worse is when they try to use their warranty expiring as an excuse to get around those legal rights. I bought something from Cashies last year which stopped working after a couple of weeks. Took it back to the store and was told that I couldn't get a refund because their automatic 7 day warranty had expired. Well, whoop-dee-doo. Your shitty store automatically giving everyone a shitty warranty that only lasts for a week doesn't invalidate the law. Took me three weeks and a call to Consumer and Business Services to finally get the refund I was entitled to.
