"Showdown ticket gone in a flash !!

A foolish Ascot Park man won't be part of the first Showdown crowd at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, after he was arrested for streaking across the oval this morning.

Just before 8.30am, the 47-year-old man entered the arena, walked out to the centre square, stripped off and ran to the northern goals before heading back to retrieve his clothes.

However, the naked man was apprehended by security guards and detained until police patrols arrived.

The man was arrested and charged with indecent behaviour and barred from attending Adelaide Oval for three months.

"While this man may have the kudos of being the first streaker on the new Adelaide Oval – let's hope he is the last.
