She is the one who setup this trip over easter for camping, 4wding and fishing. She loves the car as much as I do. So that is a moot point.
As I said, I can put a ring on her finger but it won't stop me doing what I want to do. Even if it threatens the so called matrimony. Nothing is worth me not living my life the way I want to.

In terms of quality time. Our quality time is going on 4wding trips, fishing, boating, road tripping. You name it, she's keen for it. There is no way a ring, or a child would get in the way of that. I'm just lucky that her quality time, is also my quality time. If I play vidya, she plays vidya. Just the other night we played age of empires over the net with my mates. She thrashed them, it was great.

This blokes attitude, way back then is the identical 'I' attitude that I am reading in your posts. Oh and he isn't the only one I have come across in my life's journey, with the same attitude, Doc...but the story usually follows the same trail. Yes, I remember his missus at the start...being involved in the stock car racing and all of that, her interests were his interests even after their son was born.....yeah. Oh, and he wan't my mate, he was a mates mate, although I did teach him mechanics and work with him, I regarded him a dipstick. Last I heard she started her own business and then he did, and now they are divorced...looks like he got his own way after all. Oh...and maybe it was a case that she chose the wrong bloke?

I'm definitely vain, though in my defence it's a lot to do with the fact I was always fending for myself and refusing to rely on other people because of my fathers death when I was young, and the eventual in-fighting and 'break-up' of the family. I was always my own person, and I fight fiercely to keep it that way. It's just how I've always been since I can remember.

Though my sisters always tell me they can pinpoint the day I changed to when dad died. To be honest, I've even spoken to psychologists about it, but at this point, I think I'm hard-wired to put myself first, which isn't always a great look.

Miss feel though, she's a gem. She can read me like a book, and understands where i've come from and what i'm like. We have the perfect relationship in many respects, she pulls me into line about compassionate things and I help her to man-up about things. It all works pretty well.

im not a no hoper at the very least. In management at work, and I had been the breadwinner for the first 9 years of our relationship. One more year and we will both have very solid incomes as i finish my masters. We are an odd couple in many ways, but we also work in many ways. We have not once had a fight, and we very rarely disagree on things, if ever. I do however need to think about proposing. I hate weddings and the whole idea of it, but I understand that its also her day and she deserves it.
