I think it adds more than it takes away. Makes the game more accessible, especially to people just getting into the AFL. On the basis of positive vs negative, this gets a tick for me.

Yep, totally agree. It adds a small amount of clutter but they look sharp and clean and overall it's a really good thing. Pros outweight the cons. Plus I really want a guernsey with a name. Can we bring Tredders out of retirement so I can get a Tredrea 16 guernsey?

I wonder how quickly custom ones will be available so we can do that sort of thing.

Look for Ebert 7, Wines 16, Wingard 20 and Westhoff 39 to sell well IMO

I don't like the names on guernseys but I'll get used to it. It does improve accessibility for people new to the game and helps to broaden the game's appeal. It's all part of the journey we're on to make this great game the best it can be.

I often wonder why the Brisbane supporters didn't make more of the Black/White Power thing they had going on for so many years. I mean a black player called White and a white player called Black.
