Surely...

a brother raping his sister right next to the dead body of their son

...is seen as jumping the shark? I can't be the only one that can't see this activity as being acceptable behaviour by any character in anything ever?

Imagine if this was a sub-plot between Ross and Monica in Friends.
Yeah. I've been able to stomach everything that's happened through the show so far but that scene made me more than a little uneasy.

It's happening pooreid.
I won't be sad. I am more sad that $hitty and Chel$ki cannot win enough games to stop those Syds winning the league at this stage.

If the Russians can knock the bindippers off at Anfield we are still in with a chance.

Until Silva got carried off on a stretcher this morning...

Never wanted a Chelski win quite so much...

To be fair your not exactly comparing apples with apples here....

Oh definitely not. But where is the "line"? If:

Jaime pulled down the pants of his dead son and started to...

Would that have been too far? How far are GoT fans willing to go to accept these things happening without going "alright, that's enough."

I think I stopped watching at the end of S3 and never really came back to it. Jeffsavesthedaylol got a bit old.
Season 4 was OK but inconsistent, season 5 is actually legit. Just watch season 5.

I really don't understand why they changed that into a rape scene... George R R Martin apparently doesn't really care, though there is a ****load more rape in the books - all of it "off-panel".

To say the show has "jumped the shark" is rather absurd though seeing as there are 2 full books written ahead of the show, one of them published 9 years ago.

I found this article on the incident, its pretty decent IMO. http://goo.gl/DbY24H

I think it's more of a HBO let's shock the audience rather than GoT/Asoiaf getting progressively more unsettling.

The most shocking scene in the Red Wedding in the TV series and the aforementioned scene in Baelor's sept... not in the books.

How did the diff locker go?

Very well, had a laugh the other day though when miss feel drove to the shops with the locker engaged. She called me in a panic saying "THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CAR, I CANT TURN IT! IT TOOK ME 20 ATTEMPTS TO DO A U-TURN!"

She was in a busy car park with diff lockers engaged, oh man.
