Jim Selene on bass - great Port Adelaide supporter.

Martin Bland on drums - Moved to Seattle with Renestair EJ and restarted Bloodloss with Mark Arm from Mudhoney.

You don't want to get me started on how influential certain Adelaide and Perth people were on that entire Seattle scene that sprang up in the late 80's/early 90's....

Even the term "grunge" was an Australian thing before it was a Seattle thing....

"Mark Arm said years later, "Obviously, I didn't make grunge up. I got it from someone else. The term was already being thrown around in Australia in the mid-'80s to describe bands like King Snake Roost and Salamander Jim...."

Would be deserving of its own thread I'd imagine.

There would only be three of us in it.

Unless Leaping Lindner still lurks these boards?

Nick (leaping lindner) had a show on 3D when it was triple m back in the day and despite being a camry driver is one of the most awesome humans you could ever meet.

I'd stick my nose in and post I Dont Care's in appropriate numbers

Good distinction, they are war movies. Good films amongst a huge heap of good war movies over the decades (and a zillion so-so ones, or worse). IMO Saving Private Ryan is the close to perfect war movie, scary realism plus good v evil. The same team made the brilliant Band of Brothers series. Apocalypse Now is deservedly famous. Re anti-war I can only think of All Quiet on the Western Front and really the book is more famous. I'm trying to think beyond American films for the top ones but I can't.
The longest day is a favourite of mine

Stalingrad
Der Untergang (Downfall)
Das Boot
Gallipoli
Breaker Morant
Dr Strangelove

Just booked flights and accommodation for the Collingwood game in August... any pointers for tickets/seating for the 'G' would be fantastic. Haven't been there since the '07 GF, which I've successfully blotted from my memory so I wanna make this experience a bloody brilliant one!

Das Boot is an incredible movie, as is Stalingrad.
Still haven't had the time to see Downfall (well apart from that scene)
