This doesn't sound much like "blatantly stealing";

... Led Zeppelin was quite candid about how they tended to appropriate blues lyrics from other artists for use in new musical settings. They felt that they were merely following a time-honoured blues tradition by interpreting the words of past masters. ... The case was settled out of court, with Led Zeppelin granting Willie Dixon songwriting credit and royalties for "Whole Lotta Love" ....

Funny thing is, nobody cared until the '80s and lawyers saw a buck in it. Where were the lawsuits when albums were released? And the touring in the '70's when Led Zep were breaking attendance records with media interview upon interview? Back in the early decades of last century, the US government in it's wisdom started recording as much 'yokel' music as they could for posterity. These archives became a gold mine for artists both in America and abroad...one that comes to mind is The Rolling Stones' Little Red Rooster, which they stole from Willie Dixon..who originally stole it from some 1920's blues artist
