Favourite Johnny memory goes back to watching Port v West Coast at the old Sydney Aussie Rules Social Club in the Cross.

Port win by three points and I step out onto Darlinghurst Rd to a big commotion.

The whole Cross was going completely apeshit over a gentle giant with Albert Einstein hair, wearing only spandex briefs, gumboots and a koala backpack.

You know you're something special when you bring Kings Cross to a standstill...

I saw him in July probably 2006 I reckon, at a SANFL game at AO and he had shorts on and long red and black socks on and it was freezing. Was back home for a week then went back to Sydney and a week or so later he was in Pitt St Mall sitting down on a bench with his push bike. I go up and say g'day and chat for a couple of minutes. A few days later D_One and Weatherchap see him at a public fare in Newtown and have a good chat to him for half hour or so and find out he's from Claire and works in the vineyard industry, he had just finished pruning and come up to Sydney for a holiday.

But yeah even Johnny would get some attention in the Cross and there are some interesting characters there.
