He was at the SANFL showdown in Claire, old school prison bars on.

Bumped into Johnny at the Clare gourmet weekend a few times. IIRC there's a family connection with our former CEO Mark Haysman.

Always love that moment when someone sees Johnny for the first time and freaks out.

"DID YOU SEE THAT GUY?"
"Yeah, mate," you shrug. "That's Johnny."

The club has to interview Johnny when they do that membership drive video next year and he can explain why he's a port man.

Haha should get him out there dancing as part of the pre game stuff.

Wouldn't be surprised as he told D_One and Weatherchap all those years ago at Newtown fare that he was adopted by a white couple and that's why he works in wine/grape/vine industry.

That would be awesome!

Crowd would go nuts seeing him up on the big screen.

Especially if he's still nasty with a hula-hoop...

If you will all allow me a small indulgence ...

Yesterday my beautiful 2 year old boy Rhodesian Ridgeback Khata passed away. I took him to the vet thinking he had a minor tummy complaint and the vet found cancer. There was nothing we could do for him. My family is devastated, he brought us so much joy and love and now he's gone far before his time.

We accept dogs into our life knowing the happiness they bring and knowing that time comes to an end and it always feels too soon. I'm old enough to have been around this block a few times but this one really hit hard.

I'm not looking for sympathy I just wanted to make a small public acknowledgement of him. Goodbye my beautiful boy.

Your house is waiting, your house is waiting
For you to walk in, for you to walk in
But you're missing, you're missing

So sorry to hear that FF. My Ridgy passed away a couple of years ago (at 14 years old) and I still miss him even with my other dogs still around.
It hits harder that some people think :-(

Terrible news FF.

As my family was growing up I was continually being hounded (no pun intended) about getting a dog. I resisted on the grounds that both my wife and I were working fulltime and the kids were at school so there would be no one at home to look after the dogs during their infant months.

Once the kids had left school I was more than happy to bring a couple of dogs into the family.

I know there will come a time when we have to go through was you are experiencing right now and I am not looking forward to it.

I know your pain. I had a dog...a best mate...pass away nearly 20 years ago. I still dream about him. I have had other dogs that have come and gone, but there is always one whom you never get over losing

Nice tribute. Ridgies are beautiful, placid animals.

I believe I once met Bob Neil at the Blacks Ball in 1999, however I was too plastered to remember what he looked like.

It would come as no surprise to me, REH, if I was to learn that you were Bob Neil.
